Last week was all about sheetrock, and we cruised through it as expected. Bill Werking’s crew finished hanging on Monday, and started finishing on Tuesday. The humidity kept the mud from drying as quickly as we would have liked, so we didn’t quite finish up, but given that today is a holiday, we expect that sheetrock should be complete tomorrow (Tuesday).
Here are the tasks scheduled for the week:
- Order Cabinets: On Monday, we’ll place our cabinet order.
- Finish Sheetrock: On Tuesday, as mentioned above, we’ll finish the sheetrock.
- Prime Walls: On Wednesday and Thursday, the painters will be in to spray all the walls with primer.
- Install Garage Door: On Friday, I’d like to get the garage door installed. I haven’t picked a vendor yet, so that will need to be done as well this week.
- Start Installing Hardwood: On Friday, we’ll start installing hardwood on the first level. This work will carry over into next week.
Should be a pretty straightforward week, and I don’t see much schedule risk. Given that we’re already a couple weeks ahead of schedule, I’m not too concerned even if we slip a day or two.
