Stormwater Management Plan

Our engineer — who is working on the ECP/SDP — sent us the first version of the stormwater management plan today. It is pretty straightforward — it shows the gutters and downspouts off the roof, leading to underground water conduits to a “micro-bioretention pond” (also known as a “rain garden,” which is a man-made filtration system for water runoff using rock and sand) and finally draining the water into a nearby sewer opening. The plan also indicates where material will be held on-site and other basic features of the stormwater plan.
